Querant = the person for whom the reading is being undertaken
Court Card = Page, Knight, Queen, King
Significator = Card representing the Querant
Archetype = Symbolic figures that re universally recognised and understood across societies, cultures, religions, mythologies and folk cultures.
Dignity = Way the cards face, Dignified facing Reader, Undignified facing away from reader.
Minor Arcana 56 cards
These represent the more tangible, mundane aspects and occurrences of the querant's life, coupled with their responses to them, e.g. incidents, events, experiences, people in the querant's life and the environment.
4 Suits of Minor Arcana (similar to ordinary playing cards with the addition of an extra court card).
o Wands (Rods, Batons)
o Cups
o Swords
o Pentacles (Coins, Discs)

These depict the fundamental principles and experiences of human life i.e. spirituality, theories about life and death, ethic dilemmas and judgements, personal morality, interactions with others and the environment. It could also be said to represent the inner journey of the self; where spiritual progress and development can be followed and mapped.
The Major Arcana are considered the most important cards in the deck, representing the fundamental precepts and motivations in a querant's life. The imagery on tradition cards depicts archetypes.
